Altogether twelve prospective investment properties were introduced to interested parties at the Investment Conference held by the Overstrand Municipality in June 2022.

To date, six of these properties have gone out on tender.

Four tenders have closed and the tenders are currently being evaluated before a successful tenderer will be awarded.

They are the De Mond Resort in Voëlklip, the old Nautilus site at Grotto Beach for restaurants, the Westcliff property for the development of medical facilities and related community facilities in Hermanus and the Franskraal-strand development for town housing purposes.

Another two tenders are currently ‘open’ and advertised for sale and available on the municipal website; the closing date is 27 January 2023.

The Mayco Member (MMC) for Infrastructure and Investment, Councillor Clinton Lerm, said the tender notice for Erf 1070 Gansbaai will be advertised early in 2023 and soon thereafter the remaining five properties will be going out on tender.
